Supporting the NComputing RX420(IGEL) device and based on the Raspberry Pi 4 platform, IGEL OS(RPI4) expands its range of applications. It is purpose-built for enterprise access to Citrix environments. The RX420 (IGEL) enterprise thin client, powered by IGEL OS on the latest Raspberry Pi4 platform, brings premium performance and native dual display support to the Citrix Ready Workspace Hub family. It is optimized for Citrix HDX which makes certain that it meets the performance, security and manageability demands of the enterprise.

Can anyone help me with step-by-step instructions of Citrix Workspace App (icaclient) on Manjaro 20.04 KDE? 5 November 2020 18:46 #1. I just got a Raspberry Pi 4 and was surprised to find Citrix performance with XenApp 7.6 is only average and really takes a nose dive when you try connecting to a machine over RDP inside the ica session. I’ve used Receiver and Workspace for years on Windows, iOS. I remember at Citrix, with a Raspberry Pi, the default and optimum resolution will be 1920 x 1080 (1080p), and graphics acceleration through hardware deco brings the Pi H.264, taking advantage of this hard, Citrix session download multimedia acceleration of Pi, not charging for both VDA desktop server or Citrix, getting up to 60fps, Two words.

In this step-by-step guide I will describe how you can directy start an Application on StoreFront. Normally a desktop will auto-launch when you only have 1 desktop so why would you want to auto-launch an application on StoreFront? If you are using StoreFront 3.0 and you add a XenApp 6.5 Data Collector to your store it will see your XenApp 6.5 desktop as an Application on StoreFront and not as a desktop. In this case you would like to start an application if you want your older XenApp 6.5 desktop to start. I have tested this on StoreFront 3.0 with XenApp 6.5 Data Collectors.

Preparations

  • StoreFront server installed
  • Administrator privileges are required

Notes and considerations

  • After updating or upgrading StoreFront you probably should follow this instructions again to remove the button

How-to directly start an Application on StoreFront 3.0

Start Notepad on the StoreFront server as an administrator. Navigate in Notepad to C:inetpubwwwrootCitrixYourAppStoreWebcustom and open script.js.

Probably everything is marked out. You can remove this or paste the following at the bottom:

var numApps;

CTXS.Extensions.preProcessAppData = function (store, json) {

numApps = json.resources.length;

};

CTXS.Extensions.noteApp = function (app) {

if (numApps 1) {
CTXS.ExtensionAPI.launch(app);
}

};

Raspberry

Save the file. Run the Command Prompt as an administrator. Enter iisreset and hit Enter.

After you log on to StoreFront and you only have 1 application it will auto-start for you.

I've recently tried to run Citrix Workspace on the Pi with poor results.
1) The chromium app: works on Pi 2 and Pi 3, but it is too slow. Impossible to use on Pi 2, but still too slow on a Pi 3 b+. Connection always happens correctly.
2) Installed Citrix Receiver (wfica) on Pi 2 and 3 in Raspbian 9. It either fails to connect or when it connects it looks like it has massive rendering issues. It seems to work for a few seconds then it kind of stop completely.App
Other times it just returns 'Unknown error' cannot connect.
I feel the native app would perform much better, but it is riddled with issues.
Is anybody able to run the Workspace app in Raspbian?
