Microsoft 365 allows the Ohio State community to collaborate through one cloud platform delivering a wide range of productivity apps. Access email, store and share files, communicate with your coworkers or students, schedule meetings, track your to-do lists and more by integrating applications and downloading them on up to five devices.

Learn about OneDrive for Business, a cloud-based system for creating, storing, sharing, and organizing your work documents.

  1. Get online help See more support pages for OneDrive and OneDrive for work or school. For the OneDrive mobile app, see Troubleshoot OneDrive mobile app problems. OneDrive Admins can also view the OneDrive Tech Community, Help for OneDrive for Admins. Contact Support If you still need help, contact support through your browser or shake your mobile device while you're in the OneDrive app.

  3. Learn more about OneDrive for Business Site. OneDrive for Business sync app creates a folder on your computer to store files locally. Open Computer form your Start menu. Under Favorites, you should see OneDrive for Business folder. If you do not have the OneDrive for Business sync app, follow the instructions: Download OneDrive for Windows.
  4. Collaborate for free with online versions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. Save documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online, in OneDrive.

Microsoft OneDrive is Microsoft’s document creation, collaboration and storage platform. Microsoft OneDrive allows collaborators to:​

  • Create and new documents including Documents, Spreadsheets, and Slides.​
  • Share the documents and edit them with collaborators.​
  • Upload and store any existing files or documents for easy access and sharing

  • It's free: UC San Diego has a licensing agreement with Microsoft.
  • It's universal: All UC San Diego students, faculty, and staff have access to the UC San Diego Microsoft OneDrive environment.
  • It's secure: Storage conforms to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) requirements.
    • See acceptable use guidelines before determining what data you store in OneDrive.
  • It's compliant. The negotiated licensing terms dictate that data be stored on U.S. soil which fulfills export control requirements.

Note: OneDrive for Business is different from OneDrive, which is intended for personal files.
